Close to 300 women and girls participated in a one-day workshop, titled “Tech4Girls: Masterclass in how to Build your Online Personal Brand”, hosted by CANTO, Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (TATT).
Flow was a proud sponsor of the workshop which saw some 100 participants seize the opportunity to take part in the Competition for the Best/Most Improved personal brand.
At the Prize Giving Ceremony on June 9th at TATT’s Barataria Office, Flow’s Senior Manager – Communications, Yolande Agard-Simmons said “as a telecommunications and entertainment services provider, we are very strategic in our CSR engagements and partnerships ensuring that they align with our vision to create moments that matter to our customers; more so, this allows us to positively impact the lives of those who need our technology the most.
“We are doing our part to enable the next generation of women in ICT and as a sponsor, we are certainly pleased that so many young women participated in the workshop to learn how best to use the tools and techniques that technology allows in marketing their products and services.”
During the intensive boot camp/masterclass, hosted in celebration of Girls in ICT Day 2022, participants learnt the practical steps needed to build their brand across all digital platforms to increase brand awareness and engagement.

In support of the international agenda to cultivate interest in the STEM field for young women and girls, Liberty Latin America/Cable & Wireless Communications currently has a partnership with the Society of Women Coders (SOW), under the initiative – Future Tech Stars. SOW is a non-profit organization that conducts free Coding,
Digital Literacy, Crypto literacy and Leadership trainings for young girls around the world. This Project seeks to promote tech for girls and encourage ICT related career opportunities amongst the young female population. This important work will shape the workforce of tomorrow, ensuring that this emerging group of our nation’s youth provides the diverse skills and perspectives needed for the industry to thrive in a digital space.
