TSTT has been advised by its international vendor for channels on BLINK Entertainment, that there may be increased incidents of solar interference on satellites used to distribute these channels. As a result customers may experience brief periods lasting approximately 10 minutes, when the audio and video quality of channels will be degraded.
Customers are assured that this is a normal occurrence that happens twice per year as the Sun’s dominance moves between the northern and southern hemispheres. In Trinidad and Tobago, March and September are usually the periods when heightened solar interference occurs each year.
As such customers should not attempt to make any adjustments to any of the BLINK TV equipment if they experience channel outages as this will only be for a relatively brief period.
