1 Mins read

Caribbean Tech Forum is organising a free meet up on Wednesday 23rd March at Microsoft’s local offices on Mucurapo Road, POS from 3:30pm-7:30pm.

Registration can be done using a simple form at and you can read more at Caribbean Tech Forum.

Microsoft and Digicel have provided technical expert speakers for this event, including one of Microsoft’s Redmond’s teams, Dr Ross Gardler, a former lecturer at UWI and presently a Senior Program Manager at Microsoft as well as a strong open-source advocate and President of the Apache Software Foundation.

Dr Gardier will join the meeting via a live webcast to talk about the Azure Container Service, a cloud platform for implementing the growing trend of containerization, itself considered by many experts as the evolution of virtualisation.

Microsoft’s local Technical Developer Evangelist, Vinni Jonas, will also be speaking at the event on Visual Studio, Bizspark and a few other of the tools and programmes available to us in the developer community.

Digicel, one of the region’s most advanced telecommunications providers, who  also offer managed cloud services of its own to enterprises, will speak on Cloud Security

This is one of those “in-person” events the Caribbean Tech Forum we organize freely thru our member volunteers, to continue and enhance a particular Slack conversation out of the many we have daily in our Slack team that strong interest is shown in. If you’d like to just be part of our Slack team, you can also sign up for an invitation.
