TSTT activates disaster plan, closes select outlets

1 Mins read

As we prepare for the passage of Hurricane Beryl, we encourage you to stay vigilant and take all necessary precautions to protect yourselves and your loved ones. Without a doubt, safety matters most.

Tobago store closures

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff and customers, the following stores will be closed on Monday, 1st July 2024:

  • bmobile Customer Experience store, Lowlands Mall
  • Scarborough Payment Centre

We understand the importance of staying connected with your loved ones during these times.

Actions we are taking as your communications partner

  • Disaster Management Plan Activated: We are working closely with the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM), Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) and other agencies to ensure critical services are restored promptly and safely, if impacted.  Our focus will be on minimizing the impact on relief efforts, recovery activities, and critical institutions.
  • Network Monitoring: We are monitoring the impact of the weather on our infrastructure and are ready to restore service as soon as it’s safe. The wellbeing of our crews is paramount so all restoration efforts will begin as soon as it is safe to work.

Preparation Reminders

  • Secure your possessions including loose outdoor items. Important documents should be stored in waterproof containers.
  • Prepare an emergency kit with essential supplies, especially if you live in flood-prone areas.
  • Ensure your mobile phones, portable chargers, tablets, and other devices are fully charged.

We urge you to stay updated on the latest weather news and emergency hotlines by visiting the ODPM’s Facebook page and TEMA’s Facebook page.
