Delves, Thompson rise at Digicel

After three successful years at the helm, Digicel Trinidad and Tobago CEO, John Delves, has been promoted to the role of Digicel Regional CEO: for Trinidad and Tobago, the French West Indies, Suriname and Barbados,  it was announced today. Both positions are effective from March 01, 2015.

Digicel Trinidad and Tobago now welcomes Sacha Thompson as the new CEO of Trinidad and Tobago.

 A Digicel veteran with over eight years of telecoms and technology sector experience, Sacha moves from her current position as Digicel Trinidad and Tobago COO and brings with her extensive senior management experience in the areas of Marketing, Communications, Retail, Customer Care, Customer Experience and Operations to her new role.

During the three years of John’s tenure as Digicel Trinidad and Tobago CEO, the company launched its 4G network and Fibre to the Business platform. 2015 marks John’s 8th year with Digicel , having joined  in January 2008 as General Manager for Digicel Vanuatu before going on to become CEO for Digicel Fiji.

In 2010, John then moved from the Pacific to the Caribbean as General Manager for Digicel’s markets in the North Eastern Caribbean before taking up his appointment in Trinidad and Tobago in April 2012 and will continue to be based here in his new regional role.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as CEO for Digicel Trinidad and Tobago – and I feel very thankful for my experience. I would also like to take this opportunity to wish Sacha all the very best in her new role.”

Speaking about her new role, incoming CEO for Digicel Trinidad and Tobago, Sacha Thompson, said; “I am thrilled to lead our very strong local team as we continue to transform the telecoms landscape by bringing world class connectivity to the people of T&T with a focus on delivering best customer experience on best quality network to our customers across the islands.”

 Digicel’s CEO for the Caribbean and Central America, Regis Romero, said; “I would like to thank John for the last three years in Trinidad as CEO and congratulate him on his promotion to Regional CEO. I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Sacha in her new role.”
