bmobile is offering free calls to St.Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) over the weekend until April 14.

“Prepaid and postpaid mobile customers can call their loved ones in SVG, at no charge, until 11:59 p.m. on August 14, 2021,” the company stated in an update to their press release of April 9.

The company’s customers can stay in touch with friends and family affected by the recent eruption of the La Soufriere volcano.

The initiative takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday 10th April and comes to an end at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday 11th April. The company is monitoring the situation in SVG and states that there is a strong possibility of extending the initiative beyond April 11.

Calls can be made from all bmobile prepaid and postpaid mobile numbers at no cost to the customer. For prepaid customers, no credit will be required to place the call, nor will any credit be deducted from their existing balance. Postpaid customers who call SVG over the weekend will see no additional charges added to their monthly bill.

Lisa Agard, Chief Executive Officer (Ag.) of TSTT notes, “bmobile empathizes with our CARICOM  brothers and sisters in St.Vincent and the Grenadines in the wake of this tragedy.”

“Our customers are the heartbeat of our Company and we understand that their top priority right now is to know that their friends and family in St. Vincent and the Grenadines are safe. We are keeping abreast of developments in SVG, and we will provide as much support as possible.”
