All registered special needs schools (including government and government-assisted) are invited to express interest in integrating cutting-edge technology into their educational programmes.
The idea for the panyard model was born out of the Digicel Foundation’s successful partnership with the Tobago Panthers Steel Orchestra, which opened a TIE Centre last year.
Digicel Foundation adopted the North Coast community to fund and implement key social impact projects.

Key speakers this year will be Tobago-born Black Panther Animator Sekani Solomon, former Miss Universe, Wendy Fitzwilliam, and Ris Anne Martin, fashion designer from Brown Cotton Caribbean.
The project will facilitate the streaming and recording of classes to further complement the Academic Programmes for the Deaf/Hearing Impaired Project.
The challenge was to use an ICT tool to raise awareness about, or provide a solution to one of four social issues in Trinidad and Tobago.
