TATT accounces 25th Open Forum

1 Mins read

The Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago will host the twenty-fifth Open Forum titled: ”White Space Devices: Opportunities for Trinidad and Tobago” on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, at the office of the Authority, #5 Eighth Avenue Extension, off Twelfth Street, Barataria.

There is a high demand for spectrum for fixed and mobile broadband, fuelled by the rapidly expanding demand for broadband connectivity and ubiquitous mobility. White Space Devices operate on unassigned or underutilised spectrum and present an opportunity to meet this demand using innovative ways to use available spectrum.

The purpose of this forum is to widen awareness and generate discussion on white space devices and their potential use in Trinidad and Tobago, taking into consideration the contents of an authorisation framework (Authorisation Framework for the Accommodation of White Space Radiocommunications Devices) which will soon be issued by the Authority for public consultation.
