Samsung and Digicel IMAX teamed up on July 10 to offer their special clients and members of the public a sneak peek into the Virtual Reality world, thanks to the new Samsung Gear VR.

VIP Guests and theatre-goers had the opportunity to fully immerse in a cinematic 360 virtual reality viewing experience with the demo of the Samsung Gear VR at the Digicel IMAX

“We are very excited to bring our amazing virtual reality offerings to Trinidad & Tobago” said Gracia Whyte, Assistant Trade Marketing Manager, Samsung Electronics Latin America. “Through the Gear VR demonstrations at the Digicel IMAX we were able to bring this incredibly immersive mobile content experience to our customers. Samsung’s Gear VR by far exceeds the expectations of how this mobile technology can be used to consume and interact with content, and is a powerful representation of how we are continuing to innovate with the Gear series.”

Samsung Gear VR creates an immersive mobile virtual reality experience that the industry has never seen before and delivers an unrivalled viewing experience through its high-quality resolution and performance power; all through a completely mobile platform powered by Oculus technology, Samsung Gear VR continues Samsung’s leadership in the wearable category through innovative technology and compelling designs to enhance people’s mobile lives.

The Samsung Gear VR for S6, compatible with both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, will be available for purchase online and at the three Samsung Experience Stores in the coming months.
