A fire occurred early this afternoon at the head office of the National Information and Communication Technology Company Limited, (iGovTT), Pembroke Street, Port of Spain. The incident, which triggered the building’s fire alarm, was confined to a room on the ground floor of the three floors of the building.
One staff member was rushed to the hospital for assessment as a result of smoke inhalation. iGovTT CEO, Charles Bobb-Semple and representatives of the Company, remain in contact with the family and health-care providers for updates on the affected employee.
The Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service (TTFS) which promptly responded to the fire, is in the process of compiling a detailed report for submission to the Company.
