As part of their ongoing mandate to invest in and support local community initiatives throughout Trinidad and Tobago, the Digicel Foundation will be issuing a call for applications on April 1.  The ‘Call for Applications’ is part of the Foundation’s EPIC – Extraordinary Projects Impacting Communities grant initiative.  Registered groups can apply for TT$35,000 to implement an indoor or outdoor community project.

The ‘Call for Applications’ will run from April 1 – April 30 and is being extended to all registered Community Based Organisations, Faith Based Organisations and other Non-Profit Organisations to implement small scale projects that can be completed within  6 to 8 weeks.  The grant will focus on innovative projects like computer labs, youth friendly spaces, community parks, community gardens, youth centres, minor upgrades to community sporting facilities, environmental projects and libraries.

The maximum grant funding for each project is TT$35,000 therefore, projects must fall within the stated budget.  It is recommended that applicants endeavour to collaborate with other non-profit groups, public or private sector entities, to guarantee community buy-in and sustainability.

EPIC application forms are located on the Digicel Foundation website at digicelfoundation.org and on Instagram and Facebook at digicel.foundationtt. Completed forms and other queries can be emailed to [email protected].

EPIC was launched in 2016. To date, with an investment of over TT$2.6 million, there have been 80 successful EPIC projects impacting 31,759 persons throughout Trinidad and Tobago.
