Digicel tops Ookla Q2 speedtest

Digicel has emerged as the fastest mobille and fixed internet operator in Trinidad and Tobago for the second quarter in 2023.
Ookla tests across four criteria in each category, multi-server latency, which tests the responsiveness of the network under normal load, consistency which measures the quality of service, upload and download speeds.
While Digicel achieved top results in all but one benchmark, Ookla ‘s results don’t reveal any major differences in service delivery between competing services with only two exceptions.
Among fixed line providers, the Blink service continues to trail far behind the results of competitors Digicel and Flow and brandmate Amplia.
Flow registers a significantly lower upload speed measured for fixed broadband at 24.08 Mbps compared to Amplia at 86.36 Mbps and Digicel+ at 98.32 Mbps.
