Digicel, total communications and entertainment provider, has announced the appointment of Jabbor Kayumov, as the new CEO for the Trinidad and Tobago market.
Jabbor brings with him more than 13 years of senior management experience in the telecommunications industry, including as CEO of several top telecoms organisations such as Telia (previously TeliaSonera) and Vimpelcom – now VEON. His expertise and knowledge of the industry, along with his successful track record, will no doubt contribute to Digicel’s ongoing development and progress.
The Russian national, commenting on his appointment stated, “I’m excited to join Digicel. My new role gives me an opportunity to work with a team that is focused on quality service to our customers, and with my desire to take this organisation even further, I’m sure together we’ll be able to create a legacy that will stand the challenges that come with a dynamic industry that rapidly and continuously re-invents itself through the latest technology.”
Digicel Trinidad and Tobago, is already transforming itself to meet the demands of its customers and offer them an amazing network experience, with the most recent major step being the launch of LTE. The new network under Kayumov’s watch, is more than twice the size of the competitor’s, and 10 times faster than 4G. In just over a week of launch, there are over 100,000 and counting, active users on the LTE network.
