Above: A recent phishing message and the underlying identifier used to send it via SMS.
An attempt to steal personally identifiable information has been underway in Trinidad and Tobago for the last fortnight.
A typical message, normally delivered via SMS messaging, will read as follows…
“The ttpost package arrived at the warehouse but could not be delivered due to incomplete address information. Please confirm your address in the link.”
The message is fradulent and on messaging systems that reveal the sender’s information, nonsense emails like “ujlhgzbyqmlx-.-.-.-.-.-99985@isorudofqtukikoa.com” will appear.
