Ericsson announces business transformation partnership with TSTT

1 Mins read

Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) has signed an Operations and Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS) transformation contract with TSTT (Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago). Under the terms of the agreement, TSTT’s complete Billing & Revenue Management systems will be transformed into a convergent environment supporting fixed and mobile services.

TSTT will be able to simplify its IT environment into a more agile operator, thereby facilitating promotion and notification launches, as well as cross-bundling of products with cost-control in real time for any type of subscriber. The company will be able to design and offer promotions and campaigns in accordance with subscribers’ interests, while monetizing ongoing growth in data traffic.

Through this partnership with Ericsson, the implementation of a suite of applications will ultimately allow TSTT to improve its time to market, the speed and efficiency of its customer interactions, and allow an “all-in-one” bill to customers. Ericsson’s global transformational expertise will also assist TSTT in expanding its capacity to develop and implement sustainable and positive change, initiating TSTT’s digital transformation into an agile broadband communications company.

TSTT’s CEO Ronald Walcott is delighted to further strengthen TSTT’s partnership with Ericsson: “This transformation will help us to standardize and modernize our IT systems. We will be able to introduce innovative offers for customers and effectively manage differential converged offers.”

Clayton Cruz, Head of Ericsson Latin America and Caribbean, says: “We feel privileged to partner with TSTT in their transformation to digital telco. TSTT will now be able to introduce new and innovative charging mechanisms quickly and flexibly for its subscribers, while keeping real-time control of their revenues. This will ensure greater customer satisfaction.”

Ericsson is the leading player in OSS and BSS (Operations and Business Support Systems), providing operators with a comprehensive, unified software suite as well as world-class consulting and systems integration services, giving businesses the agility required to adapt quickly in a fast-moving marketplace.

To meet consumer demands, operators need to keep improving the customer experience, capture new revenues and drive business efficiencies. Approximately 2.1 billion subscriptions worldwide are served by Ericsson OSS/BSS solutions.
