Caribbean TECH TrendZ Ltd (CTTL) continues to demonstrate best-in-class capability and market leadership through proven technology success and customer commitment. With a long-standing strategic relationship with Microsoft, CTTL announced its attainment of Microsoft’s Gold Data Analytics and Silver Application Development Competencies.

Both competencies, which were recently achieved by the regional IT services company, demonstrate the organisation’s high-performing capabilities and commitment to providing customers with the latest Microsoft technology to meet customers’ evolving needs in today’s dynamic business environment. Additionally, CTTL is the first Microsoft partner in Trinidad and Tobago and the Eastern Caribbean to achieve the Microsoft Gold Data Analytics Competency, with the award placing CTTL within the top one percent of the Microsoft partner ecosystem.

With economic recovery and the thrust to diversify the nation’s economy away from oil and gas both key priorities for T&T, the ICT sector is an important factor in boosting economic growth and enhancing business competitiveness. The Gold Data Analytics and Silver Application Development Competencies will help CTTL play a role in these efforts as the achievements provide the innovation that will allow the Microsoft partner to expand its business, thereby generating revenue and creating jobs.

To earn a Microsoft Gold Data Analytics Competency, partners must successfully complete exams to prove their level of technology expertise and then designate certified professionals aligned to Microsoft competencies, thereby ensuring a required level of capacity. Partners also submit customer references that demonstrate successful projects, as well as pass Microsoft assessments. A similar process is required for earning the Microsoft Silver Application Development Competency.

“We are very pleased to have received these competencies as they showcase our expertise in today’s technology market and they demonstrate our knowledge of Microsoft and its products. Our plan is to accelerate our clients’ success by serving as trusted advisors for their business demands,” said D.M. Ramdathsingh, chief executive officer at CTTL. “The competencies showcase our commitment to Microsoft’s mission to empower every person and every organisation on the planet to achieve more.”

As an award-winning business solutions firm and a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, CTTL began by serving businesses in Trinidad and has steadily extended its services into the Caribbean region with solutions offered in multiple countries. Frances Correia, country manager, Microsoft Trinidad and Tobago, Eastern and Southern Caribbean, said the achievements underscore CTTL’s delivery of consistent high-quality and commitment to the latest Microsoft technology.

“When customers look for an IT partner to meet their business challenges, choosing a company that has attained Microsoft competencies is a smart move, as this identifies them as highly qualified professionals with access to Microsoft technical support and product teams,” Correia said.

There are approximately 640,000 partners globally in the Microsoft Partner Network. For a partner, earning a competency identifies them as a trusted expert to its customers through development and deployment of commercial or custom applications built using core Microsoft technologies like Windows Server and Windows 8 and 10 operating systems, the Windows Azure platform, Microsoft Visual Studio development system, Microsoft BizTalk Server and emerging cloud-based and web business models.
