The telecommunications and ICT Association CANTO, invites all to the 34th Annual Conference & Trade Exhibition (CANTO 2018) at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Panama City, Panama.

CANTO 2018, the Caribbean’s premier telecommunications event for industry professionals, academics and regional governments will be held under the theme “Guiding Digital Adoption to Lead the Global Market”. The theme speaks to the digital revolution which is transforming our societies. Operators, suppliers, government and other stakeholders are tasked with understanding and managing digital strategies to drive growth and competitiveness through digital adoption.

Chairman of CANTO, Mr. Julian Wilkins, commented that “the CANTO Conference and Exhibition in Panama promises to be the largest ICT/Telecommunications event in the Caribbean with more than 500 delegates expected. Areas of interest for delegates will include: a new technology forum; Ministerial round table; GSMA capacity building training; Disaster Risk Management forum with a keen focus on the upcoming hurricane season; Women’s ICT forum – stepping into leadership; and key spectrum management requirements for the World Radio Conference 2019.”

The Chairman went on to say that “the conference has become popular and a unique event that attracts ministers, government officials, regulators, network operators, suppliers and consultants, basically all ICT stakeholders.”

While the conference will lead discourse on key issues from a panelist of experts, the trade exhibition will cover the spectrum of communications technologies, offering in-depth information on the latest developments in voice, data, image, and multimedia captured in more than 60 exhibits.

Secretary General of CANTO, Teresa Wankin, in her open invitation to stakeholders, describes the event as “a unique blend of networking events and business opportunities for all stakeholders. She added that “CANTO is the ideal platform where the entire ICT ecosystem converges for four days to discuss the latest trends in the industry.
