BVI to wire schools for free Internet

BVI News reports that British Virgin Islands Education Minister Myron Walwyn will roll out a programme wiring all schools for free Internet access.

“We already have an agreement in principle with one of our telecoms providers to provide free internet access on all of our school campuses. We are continuing our efforts to partner with other private and public agencies to provide a modern and fully connected teaching and learning experience for educators and students,” Walwyn said.

“Over the next four years, we intend to have the vast majority of our students learning from interactive smart boards,” Walwyn further said.
